What was particularly impressive was the way in which the artist modelled difficult, even forceful themes through classical self-submersion or a romantic mooniness… homogeneity and soloist skill par excellence. It became very evident that the differentiated sense of style and the suggestive forcefulness of this outstanding pianist culminated in a firework display of piano music, but remained well-balanced none the less. I am quite sure that we can expect quite a few outstanding concerts from this high calibre stylist and soloist in the future.
